Choose a heat-resistant surface (the feet also help).

Optionally, add some sand to the bowl to buffer heat.

Light the charcoal and place it on the burner – or use a cone/smudge directly.

Add resins/herbs as needed and allow the fragrance to develop.
When smoking with charcoal, we recommend placing incense sand underneath. When smoking with Palo Santo and herb bundles, place the lit tip facing up to prevent discoloration of the travertine.
To care for travertine, it is sufficient to add a few drops of natural stone cleaner to the water.

The Globe incense ball was designed so that the incense can be placed inside – such as Palo Santo, herb bundles or resins on charcoal.
The ball is then closed while the smoke rises meditatively and the fragrance slowly unfolds in the room.

FAQ -GLOBE incense ball travertine
The incense ball consists of two parts: a base and a hemisphere with an opening.
Place your lit Palo Santo or other incense in the lower bowl and place the sphere half on top with the opening facing upwards.
The smoke escapes through the opening in a targeted and stylish manner – for a conscious, reduced ritual.
Yes, but we recommend an alternative use of the GLOBE for incense sticks:
Instead of placing the upper hemisphere on the base as usual, place it inside the base so that both bowls lie inside each other.
You can then insert the incense stick into one of the holes in the upper hemisphere. The fine smoke will drift gently upwards, while the ash falls neatly into the lower bowl—an aesthetic, meditative image that further enhances the effect of your ritual.
You can also use the GLOBE with charcoal and resins such as frankincense, myrrh, or copal.
Please pay attention to the following:
- Be sure to use a layer of smoking sand to buffer the heat of the coal
- Close the ball completely, as in the classic application
- Depending on the resin, a very intense smoke is produced, which powerfully escapes through the opening and spreads diffusely throughout the room
