The Meditation of the Rising Smoke
Take a moment to calm down. Find a comfortable place where you will not be disturbed. Sit up straight and gently close your eyes. Breathe in and out deeply to tune in.
Now observe the gentle rising smoke coming out of the holes in the globe. Simply allow your gaze to fall on this smoke. Instead of trying to control your thoughts or create images, simply allow yourself to be guided by the movement of the smoke.
Watch the smoke slowly rise and gently disperse in the air. Pay attention to the fine details: the shape, the transparency and the curves the smoke forms. Let it touch your senses and allow its calm presence to envelop you.
Now take a deep breath and enjoy the pleasant scent of the smoke. Feel how your body relaxes more with each breath. Breathe in deeply and as you breathe out, let go of all tension and thoughts as if they were going away with the smoke.
Stay in this moment of silence and observation. Let the smoke calm your mind and quiet your thoughts. There is no need to do anything - just be and observe.
When you are ready, gently return to the present moment. Breathe in and out deeply, slowly open your eyes and take the peace and serenity with you into your everyday life.
